Who is eligible to apply?

Charities and community energy groups can apply for funds through the Energy Redress Scheme to deliver energy related projects that meet the scheme priorities and benefit energy consumers in vulnerable situations across Great Britain.

The scheme is open to registered organisations in England, Scotland and Wales. Organisations include:

  • Charities
  • Community interest companies
  • Co-operative societies
  • Community benefit societies
  • Housing Associations (with exempted charity status)

Who is not eligible to apply?

Organisations will not be able to apply for funding through the scheme if they or their delivery partners have close links to energy companies in England, Scotland and Wales regulated by Ofgem. Examples include suppliers of electricity or gas, electricity or gas network operators and larger energy generators.

Where to start?

If you are an organisation who wants to find out more about the application process and be notified when new funds become available, register with the scheme today. Organisations only need to register once. This allows us to confirm that you are eligible to apply. You need to register at least two weeks prior to the funding round deadline.
