Accessibility

We are committed to making the Energy Redress Scheme as accessible as possible, across all of the ways we work.

Website

We are committed to making our website as accessible as possible. This website is designed to meet AA of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and has been designed so that it is possible to view pages without the use of style sheets or in text-only browsers.

Our website is designed with a good level of contrast and font sizes so that it is usable for visitors with a range of sight abilities. We have developed the website to be accessible with common assistive technologies and different ways of using websites. This means that you can:

  • change colours and contrast levels
  • zoom in without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader
  • navigate a page using headings throughout our written content
  • navigate our website with assistive technology via embedded landmarks and ARIA functionality.

Limitations

While we aim to ensure the accessibility of our website, there are some known limitations documented below. We will endeavour to review and improve these over time.

  • We have tried to minimise the impact, but the CookieHub cookie management feature has some minor inherited code and access limitations.

If you experience any problems viewing these pages, we are keen to hear from you and every effort will be made to correct a problem: energyredress@est.org.uk

Your feedback is welcome
