Funded Project: Description
Working in partnership with Carbon Co-op, URBED and key local communities, the Retrofit for Cumbria project will develop a service that supports comprehensive householder centred energy retrofit. They will build on the findings of the Manchester based People Powered Retrofit project, undertaking research and establishing the systems, training and processes necessary to have:
- An economically sustainable one-stop shop retrofit service in Cumbria.
- Sufficient skilled contractors to provide quality deep retrofit measures in a wide variety of building types.
- Increased householder confidence, trust and satisfaction in the local supply chain.
- Unlocked £1.4million of spend on retrofit in Cumbria.
