Funded Project: Description

This project is a partnership between Citizens Advice Brighton & Hove and Brighton & Hove Energy Services Coop to help all city residents in fuel poverty with free and impartial energy advice. Advice will be delivered through a central telephone number, email, drop-in sessions at Hove Town Hall, and via community outreach workshops.

The project will also undertake home visits to people who have limited capacity to operate the energy equipment in their home to keep warm including fitting energy saving measures to support their warmth and health. Connect households to energy related grants available to them via other charities, the council and the government. Work with tenants, landlords and, agents to improve their knowledge of measures they can undertake to improve the energy efficiency and reduce damp and mould for the benefit of their tenants’ health.
