Switched On - Young People's Energy Advice

Charity
Citizens Advice Manchester

A partnership between Citizens Advice Manchester and Salford University to deliver a unique combination of user-led research and energy support, to fuel poor young people across the City of Manchester.

Citizens Advice Manchester will employ and train 2 young people, aged between 18 and 25 to become peer to peer ‘Energy Ambassadors.’ They will work with young people (drawn from lone parents, vulnerable families, care leavers etc) to test a range of engagement and delivery models, aimed at raising awareness of energy efficiency and encouraging changes in behaviour to help them move out of fuel poverty.

The research will be used to develop a toolkit on how to encourage, engage and promote positive behaviours around energy for young people.
