The project aims to engage with people directly in their communities and support households through retrofits of their own homes, to fundamentally shift the level of awareness, confidence and understanding of the home energy transition across Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton. They will create an independent, trusted retrofit advice hub offering a mix of digital, remote and in-person support. They will promote their services and engage homeowners through a network of approximately 50 local community groups with strong support from local authority partners at county, district, town and parish council levels.
They aim to deliver advice and guidance to over 13,000 households, connecting them directly with the growing community of professional retrofit coordinators, surveyors, architects, and installers in Hampshire, and enabling over 2,000 homes to progress their retrofit. The project will increase the number of retrofit projects in the area, as well as the level knowledge and confidence in low carbon technologies.
