The Limehouse Project (LHP) is a registered charity supporting the needs of minority communities throughout the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Limehouse Project secured £86,260 in Phase 2 Round 1 of the Energy Redress Scheme with their LHP Energy Efficiency Adviser project.
Project aims:
Through the project, LHP aimed to provide energy advice and support to vulnerable households helping them reduce energy costs, switch tariffs, and access financial assistance. The project sought to alleviate fuel poverty, improve financial resilience, and enhance overall well-being through personalised advice and community engagement.
Project deliverables:
Tailored advice was delivered through a combination of face-to-face sessions, telephone consultations and group sessions. Workshops promoted a sense of support and shared learning within the community.
The approach was adapted throughout the project to better meet the needs of clients, particularly in response to challenges such as digital exclusion and supplier changes.
Households supported through the project's work, shared knowledge and advocated for others to participate, helping to reach more residents. The project also partnered with local organisations to expand available support services for users.

Project impact:
The project has increased energy awareness, improved the health and wellbeing of residents, and provided a sense of community to households in Tower Hamlets.
Throughout the project, the team have supported the local community with:
- Over 800 face-to-face advice sessions.
- More than 650 households were reached with energy advice.
- Over 300 telephone energy advice calls.
- Held 39 workshops, talks and group sessions, with over 700 households attending.
