Caritas Energy Advice Service

Charity
Caritas Diocese of Salford

Caritas Salford aims to tackle poverty in very deprived communities across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.  They provide a practical response to those in crisis and suffering hardship through 12 community projects that support over 2,000 vulnerable and socially excluded households a year. They will establish a new Energy Advice Service to support its existing work with, for example, people at risk of homelessnessattending our‘Warm Hub’ day centres; people attending our food bank; families accessing support from its team of social workers and counsellors; adult refugees attending our education services; and people who are D/deaf or have other accessibility (physical, mental, sensory and learning) needs, attending our clubs and support sessions.  This project will increase energy awareness and reduce fuel povertyamong some of the hardest-to-reach and most vulnerable energy consumers.
